The Product Manager of European Markets role is part of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) organization. The PLM organization is responsible for defining new product features and enhancements, and for directing activities to ensure the timely development and delivery of reliable and efficient solutions to business requirements.

The Product Manager of European Markets will work with Product Owners, product platform managers, sales, and vertical markets and business development to new product feature enhancements, planning and directing activities to ensure the timely development and delivery of reliable and efficient solutions to business requirements.  They define the product to fit to the market need, forecast anticipated revenue, develop business cases, act as the customer’s proxy, and work with the various product managers and engineering leadership to develop each platform’s detailed roadmap and timely execution.   This position is focused on new product/services for the European market, which will include solutions for commercial defense customers. New solutions will include protected waveforms, stronger encryption techniques, etc.

• Manage the full product lifecycle from product / feature conceptualization through development, go-to-market, launch, delivery and end of life
• Assess market requirements and develop proposals for technical product direction, evaluating and prioritizing features and enhancements based on business, customer, and strategic value
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Customer Support organizations to ensure new product roadmap and development are consistence with the company strategy and commitments
• Work closely with Engineering, Project Management, Product Owners, and Product Management peers to drive development of products and features
• Regularly communicate and report product/project status to internal stakeholders and customers
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the portfolio, supporting the Sales team, providing direction to engineering, and supporting RFP/RFQ activities
• Participate in worldwide events to exhibit existing and upcoming products
• Develop product collateral in collaboration with Marketing
• Describe and demonstrate key product and solution benefits to customers and sales team members through product presentations, webinars, and other avenues
• Serve as customer proxy with internal stakeholders (e.g. Product Owners, Engineering, Sales), balancing needs of customer with STE iDirect business requirements
• Management of process for evaluating all new product/feature/solutions requests
  • Gather and analyze data required to develop business requirements required for business case creation in support of request
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive business cases (market need, feature analysis, customer identification and financial forecasting)
  • Running business case through comprehensive Decision Tree process
• Develop subject matter expertise related to products and technical best practices

• Experience as Product Manager in a STEM related field; satellite, networking, IT, or telecommunications
• Experience managing portfolios consisting of hardware, software, and cloud solutions including product conceptualization, business case creation, requirements development, and lifecycle management
• Ability to effectively manage time and deliverables while working with global development, product management, and sales organization
• Demonstrated ability to effectively represent the company to external audiences
• Business acumen; ability to conduct financial and data analysis, construct and communicate recommendations in a business context
• Technical acumen; ability to understand key technical aspects of the product

• Prior collaboration with Product Managers and Product Owners to translate market and customer needs into consumable Epics and Stories with acceptance criteria for engineering organization
• Ability to lead teams and drive projects to successful outcomes
• Experience managing the entire lifecycle of hardware solutions
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Agile experience is a plus

• Experience in security and resiliency type of technologies for govdef applications is a plus

• Should be able to apply for a security clearance to participate in EU and NATO programs, EU citizenship

• Travel Requirements:50% or less
• Location: Sint-Niklaas, Belgium (2d onsite, 3d remote)
