Operating from two strategic locations in Belgium—our development hub in Sint-Niklaas and our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Erpe-Mere—we are on the lookout for a dedicated Sustainability Compliance Officer. Your role will be pivotal in driving our sustainability initiatives to new heights. Responsibilities

  • As a key player in our sustainability efforts, you’ll take ownership of evolving iDirect’s sustainability roadmap, aligning it with our parent company ST Engineering’s Sustainability Goals
  • Lead Compliance Efforts: Guide our compliance with critical standards, helping us navigate the complexities of sustainability regulations and achieve thorough compliance.
  • Engage Stakeholders Across the Business: Collaborate with teams in finance, legal, human resources, procurement, and operations to foster a cohesive approach to sustainability, amplifying your impact throughout the organization.
  • Expertise in ISO Standards: Leverage your knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001 management system requirements to enhance our sustainability practices, driving improvements in our environmental performance.
  • Educate and Empower: Conduct training sessions to empower our teams with the expertise needed for compliance and best practices.
  • Audit Excellence: Support rigorous auditing processes, ensuring our sustainability practices not only meet but exceed standards.
  • Craft World-Class Reports: You’ll be the go-to person for preparing and reviewing sustainability reports that meet the highest standards of accuracy, transparency, and regulatory alignment. Your work will reflect our commitment to sustainability and compliance.

 

  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep a pulse on the latest updates to EU sustainability.

 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, or related fields with min. 5 years of working experience. Experience with CSRD, EU Taxonomy, or CBAM regulations is a big plus!
  • Proven ability to deliver sustainability projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex data, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English is required, and Dutch is a plus!
