Part of the Finance and Accounting Team to produce timely financial statements that are consistent across the iDirect Group and in accordance to ST Engineering Group policies and financial accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation of all financial and management reporting requirements of a portfolio of US entities
  • Responsible for achieving of financial excellence, including the following:
    • timely and accurate monthly reporting and submission of financial results
    • transactions are properly accounted for in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations, accounting standards, and group policies
    • proper cost allocation of line of business reporting
    • reconciliation of intercompany balances/transactions and key accounts are performed and reviewed
    • preparation of harmonized set of statutory accounts for all entities within iDirect Group
  • Engage with various stakeholders, including business partners / management on financial results review
  • Active participation in harmonization and automation projects to ensure continuous improvement in quality and efficiency of accounting processes
  • Liaise with external/internal auditors
  • Support in queries from tax agents for tax preparation
  • Participate in training and development to upskill and keep abreast of new accounting standards as well as new technological tools to improve efficiency on job deliveries

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or other professional accounting qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant will be an advantage
  • At least 3 years of experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting
  • Sound knowledge of accounting standards and relevant statutory requirements
  • Good interpersonal skills – able to engage with co-workers from various teams/levels
  • Effective written and oral communications skills
  • Able to work independently and under tight timelines
  • Proficient in Oracle and Microsoft Excel
