The Director of Sales, Middle East, will be responsible for driving sales growth and managing select key accounts within the region. This role requires a blend of strong business acumen, technical sales experience, and the ability to manage and grow strategic accounts. The Director of Sales will work closely with the Regional Sales team, Regional Vice President, and Systems Engineering resources to achieve aggressive growth targets.
Director of Sales
Own and develop a 3-year territory and account growth plan for the region.
Sales Strategy Development; Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the Middle Eastern market. Align sales strategies with the overall regional and company goals.
Revenue Growth; Drive sales growth by solidifying existing sales channels and developing new growth areas. Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Market and Competitive Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitive products, and account performance to provide actionable insights.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Product, Customer Success) to align on strategies and support regional success.
Sales Reporting; Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales activities and account status. Prepare and present sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.
Team Leadership; Provide guidance and support to the regional sales team. Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on achieving targets.
Key Account Management:
Keep up to date account mapping and engagement matrix between iDirect and each key account.
Develop and maintain a 3-year growth plan with each key account.
Conduct regular business reviews to ensure alignment on goals and objectives.
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts.
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts.
Address customer inquiries and issues promptly and effectively.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in sales management, account management, or a similar role, preferably in the Satellite Industry.
Skills:
Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain long-term relationships.
Sales Acumen: Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of regional market dynamics, key industries, competitors, and economic trends.
Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and growth plans.
Technical Proficiency: proficiency with CRM tools and other sales technologies.
Presentation & Pitching Skills: Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations.
Resilience & Follow-Up: Persistence and ability to follow up diligently in high-stakes sales cycles.
Collaboration: Working effectively with internal teams to align on strategies and support sales efforts.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse market trends, customer data, and sales performance.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
Other Requirements:
Ability to travel up to 50% as required for customer meetings and events.
Fluency in English (written and spoken), any other languages are a positive.
