Overview

This role will be a key asset in the Finance organization. This individual will be a player in the Company’s yearly budgeting and forecasting processes. In addition, they will be involved in the monthly operating plan variance analysis and the loading of financial data in Hyperion and all supplemental schedules required by ST Engineering. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to work independently, have a deep understanding of all financial statements, produce and communicate financial analysis at an executive level, and provide business insights and strategic support to the Finance team and senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform multiple financial analysis functions including expense reporting and analysis, resource planning and tracking, and cost savings analysis
  • Opportunity to support and create operating budgets within a client’s organization
  • Prepare forecast scenarios/assumptions based on client’s inputs
  • Measure performance against established budgets/forecasts and analyze variances
  • Ensure timely production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and analysis required to support internal management, ST Engineering North America and ST Engineering (parent company)
  • Loading of monthly financial results to Hyperion platform
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual support schedules in support of monthly Hyperion loads
  • Partner with senior management and client organizations to guide their decision making, to ensure achievement of strategic objectives
  • Manage other special projects as requested
  • Other duties may be assigned based on experience, skill set and business needs

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • BA/BS in accounting, finance, business or related discipline is required
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Experience working in a fast pace/high growth environment where they have shown an ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a given time.

Functional/Technical Skills:

  • Required:
    • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and financial planning skills
    • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications, including strong Excel skills
    • Experience with a large automated accounting / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in a commercial environment
    • Be able to manage large amounts of data in an accurate and efficient manner
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty
  • Nice to Have:
    • Hyperion, Oracle and SAP financial skills and/or in depth knowledge of similar financial systems
    • Experience working for a global, multi-national organization
